There’s never been a better time to join the increasing number of women who are breaking up with alcohol and discovering the best version of themselves.
If you’re curious about trying out sobriety, see if any of these feel true for you:
- Not sleeping well
- Drinking despite plans not to
- Drinking more than you intended
- Not performing to your full potential
- Drinking alongside stress
- Conflicting internal conversations
- Regret after drinking
- Not feeling like your best self
I understand how it's easy to get stuck, and how difficult it can be to not drink when we have a society that normalises alcohol.
Finding connection and unwavering support for your decision to cut down or take a break from drinking can make a positive difference from day one. If you’ve tried to break up with alcohol before, you might already know that you want to do things differently.
I can offer a calm, supportive space for you to pause, think and decide how to make impactful changes aligned with how you want to live your life.
I bring a combination of three decades experience as a senior nurse, an understanding of high functioning stress, training in alcohol behaviour change, and certification as a life coach.
Coaching helps you to make life choices that will work for you. This kind of support will help you grow stronger in your sobriety and help you transform your life so that you can focus on doing more of what you love.
We will work together to ensure you have confidence in your decision not to drink, know how to overcome challenges, and make positive changes to your health, relationships and work-life balance.
We don’t need labels here, but it’s helpful to recognise patterns of drinking that fall within the scope of coaching.
At some point we realise that alcohol is no longer giving as many benefits, and we are more aware of the problems it is responsible for.
For many women, the impact on sleep is a significant downside, for others the increased anxiety is most noticeable. Despite knowing the risks, it can still be challenging to relax, socialise or manage stress without the comforting routine of having a few drinks.
When drinking has become a regular part of life, our nervous system adapts and the relationship with alcohol can move towards what we refer to as grey area or middle lane drinking.
This is a pattern of drinking that has shifted into the mid zone of the alcohol use spectrum. You’re not clinically dependent, but you do feel stuck. You‘re not happy with your drinking and how it’s affecting other areas of your life, but it’s becoming difficult to make a change.
Grey area drinking is not problematic enough to require a medical recovery programme, but it is likely to have you feeling concerned and in conflict with how you want to live your life.
My coaching could give you the extra support and confidence you need to sustain the change you want, both with your drinking and the life choices you will create while living alcohol free.

With personal experience of midlife sobriety and a career in nursing, I coach with compassion, patience and respect.
I am trained as both a sobriety coach and a life coach.
This means I can offer you coaching for alcohol change and life coaching to help you maximise the opportunities that an alcohol free lifestyle open up for you.
This will create space for confidence and courage to make the change you wish for, in a way that works for you now and in the future.
I also offer small group coaching three times a year. These exclusive seasonal groups take place in January, October and July.
If you are coping well on the outside, but internally you feel you're stuck in a cycle with alcohol, giving yourself time and space for coaching can help you make a meaningful and lasting change.
I promise you there will be no pressure and no unhelpful judgement, just the respect and kindness you deserve. There is no better time than now to live alcohol free and become what you're destined to be.

As a registered nurse I work within my scope of professional practice and uphold the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council) code of conduct. My work as a coach is private, and independent from my employment as a nurse/nurse teacher.
I understand why privacy and confidentiality are important. You can trust that our sessions together will be completely private and confidential, giving you a safe, non-judgemental space to explore your path for change.
I am a trained coach.
I am not a therapist or mental health practitioner. I cannot offer coaching to people with alcohol use dependency, acute withdrawal or those in need of addiction recovery support.
